Rules

We play according to the rules of WAKA (World Adult Kickball Association), with these modifications:

  •  (4) Player Eligibility: Players must be at least 21 years of age. Proof health insurance is not required. In the event that an opposing team does not have enough players to field a team for a game, a player may play on the opposing team. All players must be registered through Danville Parks & Recreation. Any team playing an unregistered player will forfeit the game.
  • (5) Teams: A team must have (8) players present, including at least (3) females and at least (3) males. A team can play up to (11) players in the field at a time, including at least (3) females and at least (3) males. Any number of players can kick (it is not limited to 11). The kickers must go in the same order throughout the game. In the event that an opposing team does not have enough players to field a team for a game, a player registered on a different team may play on the opposing team if both team captains approve.
  • (7) Regulation Games: In the event of a tie, each team gets one additional at bat. If the game is still timed, the game is ruled a tie.

When calls are questioned, the officials will hear out arguments. However, the bottom line is, our officials do the best they can to make the right calls. They rely on the players to be honest and respectful. Being competitive is great, but sportsmanship is essential!

About the League

Adult Kickball is a great way for young (or young at heart) professionals, age 21+, to have fun and be active on the field and in the community. The league was founded in the summer of 2011 through a partnership between the Dan River Sports & Social Club and Danville Parks & Recreation. The league is supported by registration fees and corporate sponsors.
